Open Virtual Worlds

The Open Virtual Worlds Team is a collaborative project between the School of Computer Science and Professor Richard Fawcett from the School of Art History, with further contributing advice from Dr Rebecca Sweetman and Dr Julian Luxford from School of Classics and also Daryl Green, Rare Books Librarian from the University Library Special Collections.

Explore 3d computer models of St Andrews buildings as they were in the Middle Ages by clicking here. The project staff are undertaking reconstructions of St Andrews Cathedral in 1318; St Salvator’s Chapel in 1450-60; and St Andrews Castle in 1520.

Special Collections blog, Echoes from the Vault, has a post about the project here.
