Claire Hawes has been awarded funding by the Burnwynd Trust  to develop on an online resource and hub to bring together the research materials relating to St Andrews to 1560. This will include – where known or available – catalogue information, transcriptions, images and as much information as possible for researchers. It will be searchable, and will draw upon some of the projects already undertaken at St Andrews, including the burgh records held by St Andrews University Library Special Collections, setting this work into a wider framework and making the material available to a new and wider audience. This resource will become the principal focal point for original research on St Andrews before the Reformation, and aims to encourage new research on the town in a very important period of its history.
